WorldWildZoom specializes in a unique collection of photographic guide-book applications for iPad. Our emphasis is in presenting the photography as the principal focus – using world-class images taken in natural, wild situations shown in a book like format with priority always given to the photography. We also include complete information, range maps and vocalizations as an additional pop-up feature for those who wish to learn more about the fauna or flora in the image, in an elegant format that is simple and easy to navigate.
The first series we are launching covers the astounding diversity of the Birds of the Tropical Andes: a five-part volume, with the first being Birds of Ecuador, the second Hummingbirds of Ecuador, and from there we will complete the series with the birds of Colombia (# 3), Peru (# 4) and Bolivia (# 5). These countries harbor the highest avian diversity in the world, and a lot of these spectacular birds have hardly been shown adequately in any book format, let alone with the crystal clarity of an iPad! Download your guide book today, for an experience in avian splendor beyond your wildest imaginations – perusing these spectacular birds whilst listening to their calls is a whole new level in birding experiences, and will be an invaluable addition to the wildlife library of avid birders and general wildlife enthusiasts. |
In the very near future we will be covering such enchanting topics as the Galapagos Islands, Jungle Hip-Hoppers - the unbelievable miniature world of the Tree-hoppers or Membracidaes, Amazonian Microcosmos – the strange invertebrates of this legendary rainforest, Birds of Southern Africa and birds of Papua New Guinea, just to name a few!
Our team comprises top professionals in their fields, all local Ecuadorian residents, and we are proud to say that this product is 100 % Ecuadorian. The images are mainly provided by Murray Cooper, one of the worlds top bird photographers whose images are represented by the worlds most exclusive picture agency – Minden Pictures. This is an impressive body of work, with almost all images are taken using only natural light and including a lot of rare behavioral footage. Texts are provided by two of Ecuador's top ornithologists, Juan Freile and Alejandro Solano; with Dr Robert Ridgely -one of the worlds most renowned ornithologists- providing the texts for the Hummingbirds of Ecuador. Vocalizations are from world-recognized Niels Krabbe, undoubtedly one of the leaders in the field of capturing natural vocalizations of the Tropical Andean species. |
